Alex Reid
Chief Communications Officer
Alex Reid leads communications for the foundation and is responsible for the strategic use of voice to amplify the foundation’s philanthropic role and impact. She oversees all communications work including reputation and risk management, region-specific communications, creative and brand strategies, leadership voice and employee communications.
Previously, Alex led communications for a private philanthropic office and spent nearly a decade working at the foundation from 2010 to 2019. During this time Alex expanded the foundation’s communications across Europe, oversaw program advocacy and communications strategy, and led high-profile campaigns.
Alex was born and raised in London and attended the University of Nottingham, where she earned a B.A. in politics. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, two daughters, and a very playful golden doodle dog.
